How much does the workshop cost?

The cost of the course is ninety pounds (£90 GBP), made payable to Leicestershire County Council.

This fee is non-refundable.

Can I pay by instalments?

The course fee is a set amount and cannot be reduced or paid in instalments.

Where will the workshop be held?

The Workshops are held at the Driver Education Workshops, Bridge Business Park, Bridge Park Road, Thurmaston, Leicester, LE4 8BL.

When do courses run?

Course days may vary throughtout the month. The times of these are:

Please ensure you arrive on time for your workshop, as late arrivals will not be permitted.

What are the parking facilities?

There is a onsite visitors car park at Bridge Business Park as shown on our map. Please allow sufficient time as you will have to make other arrangements should this be full.

Are refreshments and meals available?

Beverages only. No meals will be provided during the course.

How many people will be on the course?

There may be approximately 20 people on the course.

What do I need to bring with me on the day?

Please ensure that you bring your full photographic driving licence with you. If your licence does not include a photograph please provide additional photographic evidence, such as a passport, or suitable alternative.

Can I change my course date?

Course dates can only be changed in exceptional circumstances. Evidence will be required in certain situations. If you are offered a new date no further dates will be offered thereafter.

What happens if I arrive late?

You must arrive on time for your course. Late arrivals may be refused entry and, unless under exceptional circumstances, will have their files returned to Leicestershire Constabulary and offer of a Traffic Light Workshop, withdrawn.

What happens if I leave early?

You are required to attend the full course. Failure to do so will result in your file being returned to Leicestershire Constabulary and offer of a Traffic Light Workshop, withdrawn.

What happens if I do not attend?

If you do not attend the course, and fail to provide evidence of exceptional circumstances, your file will be returned to Leicestershire Constabulary and offer of a Traffic Light Workshop, withdrawn.

I don't live in Leicester, can I attend elsewhere?

No. This scheme is only operated in Leicestershire and Rutland and is non-transferable.

Can I attend the course voluntarily?

At this time courses are only offered on a referral basis from Leicestershire Constabulary.

Do I need to inform the police I have attended?

No. The Driver Education administration team will notify Leicestershire Constabulary of your attendance on the course.

I have special needs, can these be accommodated?

We can cater for most situations. Please provide the relevant information when booking your workshop or ring our office on 0116 305 8787, to discuss your needs.

If I offend again, will I be able to attend another workshop?

You cannot attend another workshop within three years of the original offence.
